Yes, a lock is required to secure your unit. If you don't have one. We recommend that you guy the round locks called "disc locks" and not the ordinary/standard ones to ensure your unit is secured.
No. These are standard outside storage units that don’t include climate control.
You should be able to find it through your tenant portal. If you don't have an online account, you can also go through your emails or text as this information was sent to you when you rented the unit. If still, you are unlucky to retrieve it, you can always call/text your facility manager to help you out.
During office hours, please report the issue to the facility manager immediately. If you notice the issue after office hours, please send an email to Help@StorageMGMTSolutions.com and your facility manager will get back to you as soon as possible.
No. It is against the law to live in a storage unit. This comes down to liability reasons and also a breach of contract.
Yes, we require a thirty (30) day notice PRIOR to the first of each month before you remove your items from the storage.
Yes, we require a valid issued driver’s license or identification card, payment, and an executed rental agreement which can be signed online.
PROHIBITED ITEMS include but are not limited to: liquids, explosives, flammable items, toxic materials and perishable items.
We rent our units on a month-to-month basis. If you rent mid-month, then the first full month will be prorated and you'll be billed the full rent on the following months. You are not locked in to any long term agreements and can enjoy flexible terms.
Buying insurance for your personal property is strongly recommended. The owner or facility manager is not responsible for insuring renter's personal belongings. Some of the facilities we manage offers renters insurance when you rent a unit online.
If someone steals items from your storage unit or your unit got broken into, you have to immediately involve law enforcement and contact the police about the incident. You also need to contact your insurance provider and file a claim. If there are cameras installed at the facility, the local police will be in contact with your facility manager to get a copy of the footage.
We accept money orders, checks, and card payments. We do not encourage you bringing in cash.
The most convenient option is to pay your balance through your tenant portal. You have an option to have payments automatically charged to your credit/debit card or checking account on a monthly basis. You can also pay by mailing a check or money order at our main office.
Yes. You will be given your own security gate code that will allow you access to the unit seven (7) days a week. Gate hours vary by location/facility.
Not at all. We do not have an on-site office but you can always visit one of our facilities during business hours and call our phone 605-610-6181. One of our facility managers would be more than happy to give you a temporary code in which you can use to go inside the facility and look at the unit if the facility is a gated facility.
